Marine. Author. Founder. Still himself.

Fifteen years of leading teams under pressure taught me one thing: the fastest way to destroy a person is to make them build something they can’t live with.

The framework I teach, live by, and refuse to compromise on.

01

Goals

Not wishes with deadlines attached. Real goals are so massive that failing them means hundreds of thousands of lives don’t get changed.

02

Values

What already radiates from you naturally. Not what you wish you stood for. What other people can already see in how you live.

03

Principles

Rules you built, know why you built, and enforce whether anyone is watching or not. Short enough to recite under pressure.

04

Intentions

Your immovable core. The center point the rest of your life rotates around. Personal, specific, born from pain.

05

Presence

The refusal to let the past hijack the moment in front of you. Your 126 bits of conscious bandwidth spent where they matter.

Eight years in uniform. Four as a Drill Instructor.

Charming grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, in a community where the ceiling for a young Black man was graduating high school. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2014 after watching Yes Man with Jim Carrey and making a bet with his college roommates. His roommates backed out. Charming followed through. That decision shaped the next decade of his life, including a tour as a Drill Instructor from 2018 to 2022.

After the Marines, Charming built a career in personal finance and coaching, working with over 400 entrepreneurs and founders. He founded The Pride Council Network to connect queer professionals to the community they serve. He lives and writes out of Nashville.

Success without integrity isn’t success.

Every book Charming writes is built on the same conviction. The systems he teaches his clients, his team, and now his readers are the systems that keep people from becoming someone they wouldn’t recognize ten years in. If you’re building something and you want to stay yourself while you build it, his work is for you.
